Four days into official visit, Tillerson falls sick in Kenya, cancels engagements

The President pledged free and fair polls in 2019, recalling that the then American Secretary of State, John Kerry, had visited before the 2015 polls, "and he told the party in government then, and those of us in opposition, to behave ourselves, and we did".

US words and deeds are colliding as Tillerson travels across Africa.

On March 11, Tillerson held talks with Juma and her Tourism counterpart Najib Balala in Nairobi.

Tillerson has been in the country for the last three-days after jetting in on Friday. There will be a report later this month and Trump will review the issue in April.

The United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has changed his schedule so that he will spend only a few hours in Nigeria before leaving late Monday evening to Washington DC.

Tillerson's week-long, five-country tour coincided with several urgent foreign policy developments, including Thursday's announcement that US President Donald Trump will meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
