Apple's iPhone SE 2 may not launch in Q2

Apple's iPhone SE 2 may not launch in Q2

Apple's popular iPhone X has reportedly been selling like gangbusters over the holiday period. The former included the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X.

Apple continues its slide on Tuesday as more reports confirm that the company has cut production targets for the iPhone X in half.

This final point comes courtesy of today's Kantar report, and the research firm plotted the iPhone X to be among the three best-selling devices in Europe, Urban China, Japan, Australia and, of course, the United States.

Apple's three new iPhone models will be released in September 2018. Some analysts have even downgraded AAPL stock this month as concerns about weakness in the iPhone X continue to proliferate.

Nanga Parbat: Elizabeth Revol at Base Camp!
A crowdfunding campaign raised almost $140,000 to finance the rescue and support the wife and three children of Mackiewicz. In June a Spanish man and an Argentinian perished in an avalanche while trying to scale its peak.

It is worth mentioning, this production cut won't just impact Apple but also Samsung, which is now the sole provider of the OLED displays of the iPhone X. Basically, manufacturers that supply the high-performance components for the smartphone will get affected, resulting in a loss of billions of dollars for the January-March quarter alone. The OLED display, used in iPhone X is missing in it & is replaced by an LCD display. The OLED models, on the other hand, will feature a 6.0 to 6.1-inch screen and another with a 6.4 to 6.5-inch display.

Kuo says that that the second generation iPhone SE won't be a thing this year as Apple already has three smartphones in the pipeline.

Kuo reckons it will account for around 50% of Apple's new iPhone sales in 2018/19, though he does not know what the handset will be called yet. Apple could not also find another supplier that could guarantee a constant, reliable supply at lower costs.

The iPhone X was expected to be a huge game-changer for Apple with many the new features it was said to offer. A new report from Nikkei claims that the company will cut production target in half for the months of January, February and March.
