US Becomes Only Nation Not Part Of Paris Agreement

Bula’ Chorus Greets PM

At that time, Syria and Nicaragua were the only other countries that had not signed.

"I would like to affirm the Syrian Arab Republic's commitment to the Paris climate change accord", Syrian Deputy Environment Minister Wadah Katmawi told 196 delegates present at the climate talks in Bonn, Germany yesterday.

In June, Trump said that the US would pull out of the 2015 Paris accord unless he can secure a better deal.

The United States is now alone in the world in its rejection of the Paris climate agreement. Nor that Canada won't meet its 2020 or 2030 United Nations greenhouse gas reduction targets unless it buys billions of dollars worth of useless carbon offsets on fraud-ridden global carbon markets.

The United States mocked Syria's arrival in the climate change agreement Tuesday, side-stepping the charge that it has isolated itself by being the world's sole hold-out.

An invitation will soon be sent to invite the United States "at a diplomatic level", the official said.

"I find it ironic that the government of Syria, OK, would say that it wants to be involved, and that it cares so much about climate and things like Carbon dioxide gas", she told reporters.

According to the TOI report, another leader of the outfit pledged to boycott all films starring Haasan and his family members. Responding to the Kerala CM's question, Kamal had said, "Terrorism has spread to that extent in their camp.

Other politicians and staffers slammed her for praising a regime widely suspected of war crimes under Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, such as the use of chemical weapons.

Nauert said that the department's under secretary for political affairs, Tom Shannon, would lead a United States delegation to the Bonn talks next week but that Trump's decision would stand.

The treaty states that no countries can state that they will withdraw until November 2019, and that no countries can actually withdraw until Nov. 4, 2020, the day after the next presidential election.

"This means Trump is in splendid isolation - no one wants to be in his company", said Alden Meyer, a veteran climate analyst at the Washington-based Union of Concerned Scientists. Paula Caballero, global director of the climate program at the World Resources Institute, tells The Guardian.

On June 2, former Secretary of State John Kerry of the Obama administration called the USA withdraw from the Paris agreement "one of the most cynical and frankly ignorant and risky, self-destructive steps that I've seen in my entire lifetime in public life".

According to the terms, no country can formally submit their intent to withdraw until three years after the date of entry into force.

A statement from the State Department this summer saying that the US had submitted its withdrawal request said the delegations would be sent to "ensure all future policy options remain open to the administration".
