Suns On Verge Of Trading PG Eric Bledsoe To The Bucks

He was sent home by the Suns after the tweet, reducing the team's leverage because everyone in the league knew Phoenix was trying to trade him.

There are several reports that say the Milwaukee Bucks are in the process of finalizing a deal that would send Greg Monroe and a future #1 draft pick to Phoenix in exchange for disgruntled guard Eric Bledsoe. One day earlier, Bledsoe tweeted, "I don't wanna be here".

While the Sixers obviously won't take time on the court away from players like Ben Simmons or J.J. It appears the Phoenix Suns have granted Eric Bledsoe his wish to be traded.

Bledsoe now heads to an up-and-coming Bucks team that has an established young star in Giannis Atentekoumpo and a direction for their franchise, something Bledsoe wanted. The Bucks are now $4.4 million below the luxury tax. But moving forward, the Bucks will probably start Bledsoe at point guard, with Tony Snell and Middleton on the wings, Antetokounmpo in his do-it-all position and Maker or Henson at center.

While he's got more tools at his disposal, the pressure on Kidd to win now surely ratchets up following this trade. No doubt in my mind that the Bucks are a better team after this deal. The first-rounder is lottery protected.

Milwaukee's first-round pick will convey to the Suns in 2018 if in the range of 11-16 overall, in 2019 if in the range of 4-16, in 2020 if in the range of 8-30 and in 2021 will be unprotected if it has not yet been conveyed.

The Suns could also maximize their return for Bledsoe by shipping Monroe to a third team prior to the deadline. "Bledsoe does have a long 6'7" wingspan which does fit what Milwaukee typically looks for in their players.

Bledsoe previously had met with Suns owner Robert Sarver and McDonough during the preseason and requested a trade, sources told ESPN.
