The next installment of Konami's Metal Gear series Metal Gear Survive is coming February 20, 2018.

4x gold plated weapons: bat, spear, machete and sledgehammer. It offers some gold-plated weapons, two additional gestures along, some scarves and some face paint. Metal Gear Survive begins after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and is set before the events of MGSV: The Phantom Pain. The release date announcement was made via the Metal Gear Official Twitter account, and also included details about pre-order bonuses available to Day One adopters of both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. The game was initially revealed as a 2017 release, but Konami delayed it back in June. The soldiers here are elevated to another dimension.

The majority of the fans weren't happy, so many thought that Konami had changed their mind when the game disappeared off the radar a couple of months later.

Also, the initial reaction during the Tokyo Game Show for the past couple of years has not been very encouraging, notes Comicbook. From Moby Dick Studio to repeated claims that he'll never make a Metal Gear game ever again (though at this point that seems certain), Kojima has fooled us time and time again.
