Ousted Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif stages defiant comeback

The hearing has been adjourned till October 9

Pakistan's former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, will today be formally indicted on charges of corruption.

According to details, no candidate submitted nomination papers in contest of Nawaz Sharif as PML-N leader Tariq Fazal Chaudhary submitted nomination papers of Sharif.

The Supreme Court also banned him from holding public office.

A controversial clause of the Bill, commonly known as Electoral Reforms Bill, allows an individual disqualified to be member of the parliament to hold office of a political party.

The children are now in London with Sharif's wife - Kulsoom Nawaz - who is undergoing treatment for throat cancer.

Nawaz Sharif was not remained qualified to be president of the party after he was ousted by Supreme Court in its historical July 28th Panama case verdict.

'Let's Make a Deal' host Monty Hall dead at 96
Let's Make a Deal is infamously known for the insane costumes audience members wore to get Monty's attention. A coy Hall would make an initial offer to the contestant, say to purchase a man's hat for $50.

He said that in the next general elections after June, people will give a decision in favour of Nawaz Sharif.

The protest, however, could not stop the government from getting the bill passed in the National Assembly where the ruling PML-N party enjoys a majority. New presidents of both PML-N and Central Working Committee will be elected on October 3. However, he will not be eligible to become the prime minister. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi termed Sharif's return as party president a "historic day". Talal Chaudhry said it is PML-N which has always ensured amendments in laws included by dictators. "Wrong laws can not separate party heads from their parties", he said.

Referring to the opposition by PPP to the amendment in the draft Election Bill, 2017 passed by the National Assembly yesterday, Ahsan Iqbal said Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians deflected the very vision of its leader Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

The bill was cleared by the Lower House within minutes amidst ugly scenes, as opposition members gathered around the speaker's podium, chanting slogans, tearing up copies of the bill and flinging them towards the dais.

A petition, filed under Article 184/3 of the Constitution, states that the bill "is against the basic spirit of the Constitution".
