North Korea 'DESTROYS' US aircraft carrier and jets in terrifying propaganda video

In a show of American military might to North Korea, U.S. bombers and fighter escorts flew on Saturday to the farthest point north of the border between North and South Korea by any such American aircraft this century.

White said in a statement that the exercise sent a message to North Korea that the us has military options on the table.

"This mission is a demonstration of US resolve and a clear message that the president has many military options to defeat any threat", White said.

With tensions soaring high between North Korea and the United States right now, KPVI wanted to talk to someone that is in South Korea to find out what the mood is like over there.

Lauding the "great strength and patience" of the United States, Trump said that "if it is forced to defend ourselves or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea".

Last weekend, US bombers and fighter escorts flew in global airspace east of North Korea to the farthest point north of the border between North and South Korea that they have in this century, according to the Pentagon.

Reports say the operation is regarded as the farthest north of the demilitarised zone between the Koreas that any United States fighter jet or bomber had flown in the 21st Century.

US President Donald Trump's insult, calling leader Kim Jong Un "rocket man", makes "our rocket's visit to the entire US mainland inevitable all the more", North Korea's foreign minister said.

Two officers shot in New Haven, Conn., standoff
The officers' injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. One of the officers then fired at least one round at the man. The man with the gun was also taken to a hospital.

The sanctions were in response to North Korea's underground test this month of what was believed to be a hydrogen bomb and the nation's continued ballistic missile tests, several of which have involved missiles fired over northern Japan. North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Un, made a rare TV appearance in which he called Trump "mentally deranged".

At the same time, the NIS added that no immediate retaliation against the flyover was taken by Pyongyang in retaliation against the flyover, suggesting that North Korea "might have failed to fully detect the [US] warplanes", according to Yonhap.

A White House spokesperson on Monday denied the US had declared war on the North, dismissing claims from the DPRK's foreign minister as "absurd" during a regular news briefing.

The United States and South Korea are technically still at war with North Korea after the 1950-53 Korean conflict ended in a truce and not a peace treaty.

US analysts now say North Korea may have as many as 60 nuclear weapons, according to a Washington Post report.

North Korea's aging MiG fighters won't stance a chance against much more powerful USA fighters escorting long-range bombers. It conducted its sixth and most powerful nuclear test on September 3, which it said was a thermonuclear weapon built for intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Trump also said China was imposing major banking sanctions, too, but there was no immediate confirmation from the North's most important trading partner.
