The company's eighth-generation desktop processors are for gamers, creators and overclockers, Intel said in a Sunday press release.

Today Intel announced the launch of its new line up of 8 Generation Core series for Desktop PCs. Finally, the Core i7 series gets a bump from its 4 core, 8 thread roots with the all new Core i7-8700 and Core i7-8700K. It claims the new Core i7-8700K is its "best gaming processor ever", supporting the highest clock frequency ever for an Intel CPU (4.7GHz). The processor will be available on the 5th October with pricing to be announced soon.

Pep Guardiola on course for an early retirement
They have won nine of their last 10 Premier League games against Palace and 13 of 14 games in all competitions, dating to March 16, 2002.

The new 15W mobile CPUs introduced in August are refreshed version of Kaby Lake built on the 14nm+ process. The one major difference in the 8th Generation lineup is that the core count has been increased across the entire desktop range.

At its base 3.7 GHz, the CPU is said to give gamers a performance boost over 7th-gen processors, yielding 25 percent more frames per second in titles such as Gears of War 4, and a 45 percent boost while "mega-tasking" such as gaming, streaming and recording PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds at the same time. It could also be possible that Intel's rumored 8-core 16-thread processors might also be compatible with the Z370 chipset, but that might only happen if they are part of Intel's 8th Generation of Core products (which we aren't sure about). The 6 new CPUs will be arriving with Intel's newest motherboard chipset, dubbed Z370. The i5-8600K keeps the six physical cores, but ditches hyperthreading, while the i3-8100 and i3-8350K both feature four physical cores. They are made to handle 360-degree 4K videos easily and in fact, is up to 32 percent faster compared with the previous generation processors as per Intel. According to Intel, this was needed due to an improved power delivery, support for DDR4-2666 memory and more. The new chips open "the door for a new level of faster, easier and more immersive experiences", the United States firm said in a statement released on Sunday. The new Core i5 series also comes with Intel's new Turbo Boosting 2.0 technology, which accelerates processor and graphics performance for peak loads, automatically allowing processor cores to run faster than the rated operating frequency if they're operating below power, current and temperature specification limits. In addition, some observers have suggested that rival AMD has been struggling to win over gamers with its rival Ryzen chips, which have otherwise helped it take market share from Intel.
