Trump is wrong to end protections for child immigrants

Ann Coulter, conservative Republican commentator and author of the book "In Trump We Trust", reached peak Donald Trump frustration on Thursday morning when she tweeted, "At this point, who doesn't want Trump impeached?" and said she'd prefer President Mike Pence if the promised border wall falls through.

At a White House dinner to discuss DACA on Wednesday evening, Nancy Pelosi reportedly found herself in a position that might be familiar to working women: She was being interrupted by the men around her. "Really", Trump tweeted Thursday. They say the deal would preserve protections for younger immigrants and contain border security measures.

Trump later that morning told reporters that he is "fairly close" to brokering a deal that would protect DACA beneficiaries as well as beef up border security. She said her husband is also a DACA recipient and they have two children and own a home in Painesville.

Sen. David Perdue, R-Ga., said any deal to protect DACA recipients from being deported should include his proposal to restrict the number of people allowed to immigrate to the US legally.

Advocates for immigrants said that since Trump has shifted responsibility to Congress, passing the Dream Act has become indispensable.

But the biggest contradiction of all was when Mr. Trump said that nobody wants to deport the young immigrants, "Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military?"

Asked if he viewed the president as focusing on legalization over enforcement, Barletta said no: "I have no idea what happened in that room last night, so I'm not going to even speculate".

Trump announced last week that his administration was rescinding the program, but gave Congress six months to come up with a legislative fix.

Qatar's praise for Iran turns Arab League summit into shouting match
Israel's neighbors in the Middle East continue to sling mud at one another in their quarrel over Qatar . In response, Qattan said: "Congratulations to Iran and soon, God willing, you will regret it".

I know that the same person who tried to tear down DACA is now the same one who appears to be in support of it, but if you are using rational thinking to try to understand anything this administration is doing, I would implore you to stop right now.

And on Twitter, under the trend #burnmyMAGAhat, some Trump supporters set their signature red hats ablaze to signal their displeasure at the potential bipartisan immigration deal.

"It does suggest how much Trump wants this DACA issue to go away", he said.

U.S. Rep. Bill Flores, R-Bryan, said he was optimistic a deal could be reached.

Another Trump tweet said, "The WALL, which is already under construction in the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls, will continue to be built".

On the Hill, many Republicans were supportive.

"There is a fee of $495 so they have to pay that fee to submit the application and pay for biometrics because the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requires they need a photo taken and have their fingerprints taken to determine they don't have any criminal issues", said Alarcon.

"The City would suffer tangible losses from the Trump Administration's actions given the significant services, work product, and taxes that these employees now contribute to their community", city officials said.
